Perhaps he should talk to New York State Senator Ruben Diaz who is currently rasing a ruccus among fellow Democrats for his opposition to a state gay marriage bill...

I would only remind the Senator who is apparently African American and Latino that minorities who oppose equality on all levels for GLBT people are simply racists.

It's a shame that our Left has never mastered the art of "religious zeal" to the extent that conservative Republicans have in order to champion a true and inclusive morality while defending its existence in a state of freedom. The Democrats need to re-explore the power of words driven by passion and not be afriad to display both. Without this, it's just one more plank knocked out of the platform Barack Obama is trying to hold steady on while he attempts to turn the world perhaps a bit too gently into the light.
