Rolling... toward DLR

I roll along over you
With you
Without you
Over hills rocks rivers
I roll
Over dry darkened places
Defying the physics of fatigue
Still I roll

I walk I wander I run I fly
Rolling through mist and fog
Tempest winds push me on
Like a lord of cosmic mind
With vampiric preoccupation
Skillfully skirting all decay
Proving motion immortal
I bleed secrets into the waves
Of water air and time
To message you further on

Only meeting
My stumbling block
And stopping place
A restful grace
Tripping the rock
Of your eternity
Tipping me into truth

My poem-

At Monterey

You asked me where I went that day
Out to the beach at Monterey
Watching the sky as seagulls turn
Hiding behind the wild sage burm

Wondering what hides behind the grey
The dreary rains of a selfish day

Finding the words to harsh and sly
Like granite cliffs that scrape the sky
Against the wind I face the sea
Allowing what will be to be

If I return with a song for you, my love
Know that it came from somewhere above

What I should say no pen can write
My breath upon the crest of your wave
The sun begins to lose her fight
A moment of day she tries to save

That is what I'll bring to you
A shining star in a field of blue
