While genius might be asking too much from our current politicians, it is not to much to ask that that they be able to hold opposing views in mind, put extreme partisanship aside and make rational decisions and the occasional compromise to reconcile these competing but not mutually exclusive demands of a free people. Obama has striven for reconciliation on many levels, but the other party has to come to the dance.

While not quite as darkly sarcastic and bitchy as the girl version which is The Craft, this movie is actually modestly entertaining and if there was no other reason to watch it, I would just offer that it has one of the hottest boy candy casts ever filmed- complete with high school-esque swimming pool and locker room scene. Too much Kabbalah...? Our girl has grown so harsh and jagged-edged! Perhaps she is feeling the loss of youth and diva-lution in her ever-more simplistic and poppy new dance tunes instead of slowly evolving into the black & white photo, middle-aged, mature and wry Dietrich-like woman I was waiting for... after years of preaching and demonstrating tolerance and uninhibited self-expression, why all the piety and petty preachiness? Maybe she's now just Mom-a-Donna? Hmmm

Perhaps she just grew out of love, joy and fun before she found them in full after the two decades long journey away from her inner issues... hopefully, she will avoid imprisoning her kiddos in their own!
